This is becoming the primary rules set that I will use for playing games of this period.

I will add much more information at a later date.

For the present here is a link to the (new) English language website for Dadi & Piombo Publishing, the designers of the Impetus wargaming system of which Baroque is the 1550 – 1700 rules extension. Please be aware that they are in the process of redesigning their website and links may not work from time to time.

A PDF edition of the rules can be found at Wargames Vault.

I am including here a link to Zippee Jarred’s photo albums which present a very well done collection of ECW units using mainly 10mm Pendraken figures based specifically for playing Baroque. Well worth the visit.

I have put up additional pages that describe how I specifically use Impetus:Baroque to wargame on the Celtic Fringe:

In Red-coat Rags Attired House Rules.

Status Tokens and Play Aids.

Solo Play Options.

Order of Battle Sheets.
