The Severn was the only battle fought in North America during the Wars of the Three Kingdoms that pitted Royalist against Parlimentarians. It has been considered by some to be the last battle of the English Civil Wars.
It was an exceedingly small battle, with perhaps a total of 400 men engaged. For this reason it provides a means to evaluate a number of skirmish rules. It is infantry only with very limited terrain features that will allow quick play-through of the central game mechanics of rules set to be evaluated
